Check out this video we made while playing with the Light Studio software for our Vertex Illumina. This shows you how much control you have over color and intensity with this fixture!

This is a quick video we made showcasing the effects of our newly installed Red Auxiliary Modules in our Vertex Illumina LED fixture. We only have a couple of the red modules installed over our 6 foot tank (I would prefer 3 or 4), but it really goes a long way for popping the reds, pinks, purples, and orange colors.

Check out the quadruple reactor system we built using Vertex UF-20 media reactors. We installed it on our customer’s 3,000 gallon reef system! It’s primary purpose is for running GFO for phosphate removal, but there’s plenty of room for other media. Individual reactors can be removed and serviced while the others stay running.

The upcoming Seneye looks to bring modern technology to your aquarium. Seneye monitors your water parameters and alerts you via email or SMS when something is wrong. Login to the mobile site from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device to check up on your tank from anywhere. The device even uses it’s measurements to predict problems, before they happen. Should the device detect a problem, it provides you with a clear explanation and a course of action.
The product will be available in 3 forms; Seneye Home (for freshwater), Seneye Pond, and Seneye Reef. The Seneye Reef will monitor important water parameters like temperature, pH, ammonia, and even advanced light measurements (LUX, PAR, and Kelvin).
The Seneye is expected to launch this Summer for about $150.

The Tunze Osmolator has dominated the auto-top-off market for a long time. Nearly a decade? The Osmolator has been a reliable solution to perhaps the most monotonous aquarium maintenance task…replacing evaporated water.
There’s a new competitor on the block. The Elos OsmoController boasts a clean design, and reliable performance. Instead of a float or optical sensor, the Elos unit uses a miniature heating element and temperature sensor. When the sensor is out of water, it heats up and signals the pump to turn on and move water from your freshwater reservoir to your aquarium.
