Creating A New Species Profile

1. Login, or register for this website.
2. Download the template (MS Word).
3. Fill in information fields (see rules for details).  We recommend saving completed profile templates to your computer.
4. Copy and paste from template to new wiki.
5. Save new wiki.
6. Upload image (important: instructions)

Written Descriptions

1. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.  Do no copy written descriptions from websites, books, or other sources.  You may use these sources for reference, but written descriptions must be in your own words.  Users caught plagiarizing will have their accounts suspended and points revoked.
2. Written descriptions must be original, accurate, and use proper grammar and punctuation.
3. For points value, written descriptions will be judged on content quality, accuracy, and depth of detail.
4. Wiki titles for a species profile must be in this format:  Common Name – (Latin name)

Images

1. Images must be clear, at least 450 x 300px, and the subject must fill the majority of the frame.  Fish pictures must show the profile (side-view) of the fish.  Images must be no larger than 2MB.
2. Images submitted must be your own.  By submitting an image you understand that it will become property of Blue World Aquariums.  Users caught submitting stolen images will have their accounts suspended and points revoked.
3. For points value, images will be judged based on clarity, brightness/contrast, color, white balance, composition, and following the size guidelines.

Points

1. Partial profiles (eg. picture, stats, or description only) may be submitted for points.
2. You must claim your contributions to earn points.  Do this by copying the URL (web address) of your profile(s) after submission into an email to us.  Include your username in the email, and “points” as the subject.
3. Points claims are evaluated by hand at the end of each calendar month, and points are added to the scoreboard.
4. Points have no actual dollar value.  We reserve the right to adjust their rewards value as we see fit.
5. To redeem points, email us with your username and how many points you would like to redeem.  You may specify in-store or online gift certificate.

Abuse

1. Blue World Aquariums Ltd. cannot be held liable for any misinformation contained on this website.
2. Do not insert links to webpages into a wiki.  You may link to your website when posting comments in the discussion tab or other areas.
