Calcium reactors work to maintain levels of calcium, magnesium, and carbonate in your reef aquarium. Calcium reactors use CO2 gas to dissolve reactor media (usually coral skeletons). Calcium reactors are a low maintenance way to maintain coral growth, especially in large systems. Because you are using actual coral media, you produce these major elements in the same ratios as they are used by your growing corals.
